Phil Martin designed Didoni some years after John Pistilli created his font. Phil Martin copied Pistilli with some modifications. Diogene recreated Pistilli with John Pistilli's son's "biessing". He is kind enough to offer this beautiful font without compensation. We should thank him for his efforts.

Born 1925, died 2003. Sudler worked & for the agency; Hennessey. 1969 by Phil Martin a version of the Pistilli manufactured with the name Didoni. Sudler & Hennessey is an advertising agency; and Phil Martin of Alphabet Innovations—and, later, Type Spectra—released a version of the Pistilli typeface under the name Didoni in 1969.
