Antonio Vignali was born on January 30th, 1959 in Parma, the birthplace of Giambattista Bodoni and his famous typeface. He studied at the Art Institute in Parma where he developed a passion for traditional typography.

RM WD [Antonio Vignali] Graphic designer designer, b. 1959, Parma, Italy. He studied at the Art Institute in Parma. After graduation in 1983 from the Urbino ISIA Academy, Antonio spent 20 years working as Senior Art Director and Creative Director for various international advertizing agencies in Milan (Pirella Lowe, Armando Testa, Young & Rubicam).

RM&WD started 10 years ago as an advertising factory of ideas, to explore new trails in Communications and Graphic Design. In the last five years we have shifted our focus to typo design, working on various fonts for a number of different clients.

Julia Vignali was born in Paris to Italian parents from Parma in the region of Emilia-Romagna. She is the mother of a boy named Luigi. She married in 2012 a screenwriter named Julien, with whom she has a son. They separated in 2014. In February 2016, she and Kad Merad officialize their relationship at the ceremony of the Magritte Awards in Belgium.
